Stork Chicks

For the last week we've only seen one stork on the nest at a time.  I thought that there were still two of them, but it's hard to be sure (storks look a lot alike).  Yesterday there was a lot of beak-clacking in the late morning, so I went out and caught them changing shifts.  It looks like there are three chicks this Spring. Probably one of the parents always has to be off getting more food for them.  The video clip shows some stork social stuff, starting right after the parent that had been on nest goes off to find more food.  Then the newly returned parent regurgitates food for the chicks, who proceed to fight for it.

It will be interesting to see if all three of them survive the Summer.
